About Professional Education Foundation
PEF UK is a registered charity founded by members of the British Pakistani community who believe their family's income should never limit a student's potential.
We are the UK chapter of the Professional Education Foundation, established in Karachi in 2009 with just 75 students. Today, PEF supports more than 3,700 students each year across 41 partner universities, from NED University in Karachi to King Edward Medical University in Lahore.
Our trustees and their families personally cover all administrative costs, so every pound you donate goes directly towards university tuition for students in Pakistan.

Who is not aware of the importance of education? Selection & Disbursement
Institutional Admission
The candidate secures admission to a partner professional school based solely on academic merit.
Financial Verification
Household income and asset documentation are independently audited to confirm the candidate cannot finance the degree without intervention.
Committee Review
An independent selection committee assesses each candidate based on academic potential and professional aspirations. The process is entirely independent of donor influence.
Direct Allocation
Upon selection, donor funds are disbursed directly to the institution. The student receives a tuition credit, not cash.
Progress Monitoring
Degree completion and academic standing are tracked annually. Funding disbursements are contingent on sustained academic performance.
